I've found it does work, I have a Korean guy who I am sorta dating. It's only for certain people though, if you tend to be a little demanding or assume things to easily, it most likely will not work.

And the thing about them being older is sort of a load of. I mean a 20 year old dating a 45 year isn't good but if it's 10 years it's not so bad but you have to make sure YOU are ready for that because the relationship will be different, you also have to make sure you are both of majority age (which is why I'm only sorta dating my Korean guy because the age difference is over the consent age and the majority age)

yeah with the right people it could totally work.

I like a girl in Japan, if that counts. We send mail everyday and I call her like twice a week.

isn't that like totally really expensive?? That's true love right there. not a lot of people would go to all that trouble...i'm glad for you!

If you find someone that you connect with then the means aren't really necessary.

Even if you knew a person in real. You'll most likely use facebook or myspace more often to send them messages than hang out.

Nothing wrong with distance relationships, a person at the end is a caring persons who connects with you.

exactly i met a guy in my space and he's so sweet. and i'm meeting him soon....he likes everything i do and he's not a shallow guy cuz he takes his time writting and we'll talk for hours on the internet. I'm not in love or anything...but you know when you connect with someone it just clicks, even over the internet if you're telling the truth....:ywave:
