Right now, I hate being single.

Let's just say this:
Best friend is dating your BEST guy friend that you hang out with multiple times a week and get mistaken for dating all the time.

I'm basically pissed.

Maybe we should start a "single and hating it" thread, or a "I'm an anime loser, plz date me!" thread. I'm down to post in it, but I don't have what it takes to start it myself. lol.

Oh, and pumpum, fronting in NYC is very hard. If you don't drive, or wear jewelry, or at least look like you have some kind of money, finding a girl who will give you the time of day is VERY hard. At least it is in Harlem...

You know I was having a 'it's been almost a year, why am I still single?' moment the other day and then I realized, "ah right, yeah, the 4 months traveling, the 4 month long psychology study and moving house stuff and xmas and the 4 months of dissertation and advanced japanese lessons, when were you going to fit anything other than basic survival into that schedule?" Well, I've graduated now- guess that means I'm out on the pull this weekend? :/

Being single can be fun with its up and downs but after 4 or 5 yrs can be annoying.

I don't plan to get involved in romance anytime soon (if at all). I'm sick of living my life to other people's standards. If I want to get married, it will be to someone I actually want to be with, not just some busty blonde with no personality.

People in school always used to mock me and ask "Why don't you have a girlfriend? You must be a fag!". Right... since when is it considered homosexual to want to pursue things other than "gettin' laid" and dating? Besides, I've learned to ignore these people because I know that the only reason these people call others gay is because they're too insecure about themselves.

I've decided to spend all of my time on what I want to do. I don't care if people think I'm selfish... it's my life. I only get to live once (that I know of), so why should I waste it being miserable living up to what other people want me to be?

I neither hate being single nor do I love it. For many reasons, some of which you stated, I have decided to take a break from dating. Been single going on 8 years by my own choice. I have more time for myself and have nobody I have to worry about pissing off because I decided to go out with my friends and not come home for a week. Reading is one of my passions and I can really get into a book and completely shut out the world till I have finished the book. With a g/f she thinks I am mad at her and will not believe when I tell her I am not.

when dating you get more problems then you already have.
takes away study time and keeps you away from family and friends,
makes people mad and get you grounded.
