Site Maintenance and Crazy Server

Hi Everyone!

We were doing some work on JF the server last night and it decided to fight back, causing a little bit of downtime on some parts of the site while we worked on it.

Should be all good now. :)

Thanks Shinjuku, wondered what was going on, good to see things are back to normal though.

Excessum 02-03-2009 03:13 PM

Phew! That's good news... I already thought the server crashed, or was hacked... glad to see that everything is fine! ^_^

And I thought the mods got do something with this. Dammit! I so wanted to blame this on them.

PS: Things aren't back the way they were. Better check the site again.
(Somehow I doubt, Shinjuku will be reading this post)

Well after this fixing. While browsing though the threads I noticed that the sign next to the member names shows that they're online, but I can't see their names in the who's online page or on the forums the main page.
But... I seems this problem is gone now.

Edit. I take it back, the problem still exists^

Open your eyes and look closely to the monitor. It IS somewhere.

@ShinjukuEki: Ever checked the site suggestions?

Handling Japanese Characters

When I post an article with Japanese characters, some of the characters were wrongly changed.

As the character encoding is "en", the httpd does not know this site can have Japanese characters. Could you change the encoding of the Httpd as Shift-JIS or something?

Thank you.

RadioKid
