I was thinking of adding a new forum/suforum called downloads and it'll be something like this

Basically people upload albums or something and share it in the downloads section.

I know that there's already a request section but then everyone can upload their own music.

Might be a cool idea ^^

I can upload all of them X Japan songs. Sicne they are hard to get off the internet

As long as the site doesn't get into trouble for it, a download section is an awesome idea. :)

Well. They'd be rules. Only like...5/6/7 songs of a band. OR an album
So you can listen to them and go out and buy the album

As much as I'd like to upload the dir en grey discography, it's up to forum staff to decide how much we can upload.

well its a good idea per se , im also in favor but we need to consider some points.

1. Piracy - even if sharing or uploading a single song, it is already considered piracy and do you want to JF to be branded as such?
2. Space - are the JF server, willing to allocate space for this?
3. Bandwith - if this section will be, ppl will be downloading of course, and its going to add to the server's load, which in the long run might slow down JF.

well then, just my 2 cents.

well since there are plenty of sites where you can download songs illegally.. how about we keep it to a few. even make a radio station out of it.. come on now.. what do people think about a japan forum radio... wait.. new thread idea..

Japan Forum Radio sounds like a cool idea, though I'm not sure how it'll work etc.

I think it would be stupid if this entire community would be closed down over offering people music illegally.. Let's not risk it? :cool:

Yeah I get what you mean, I'd hate it if this site closed though. Maybe keep it down to a few songs - an album??
