Selling and Trading Section

I was thinking, since there are so many people who are interested in Japan here maybe we should make a section in this forum where people trade and sell things! Maybe they could trade different flavors of ramen (since some places dont sell it) or sell/trade popular Japanese snacks... trade or sell clothings, accessories, CD's from Japan... books to study Japanese. manga etc! Basically, we sell or trade things that have to do with Japan so that people could sense what it is like in Japan! ^_^

I second this! ^_^ its true I'm very new here but I'd REALLY love to be able to purchase real Japanese stuff! where I live we don't get much Japanese stuff unless its from Diaso! and I'm not sure it counts! there are other products I'd love to get from Japan but I can't read Japanese and this way maybe someone could help purchase them and send them ^_^

I really hope you'd consider it! ^_^

There is one way how to solve this problem.Lets make like on ebay.Money, stuff should be sent to one main person who would control everything. Then there wont be any cheating.

If you ever been to or heard of SOOMPI.COM (the massive kpop forum)
they have a HUGE successful trade/buy/sell section.
I think it's safe as long as people abide by rules and use secure payment
transactions like PAYPAL.com or if people have their own personal ebay,
then they can use credit cards or what not. there is always a safe way to do it... i think it would improve this forum. In fact, I have alot of Japanese imported goods that I would love to sell to people who love imported goods. Just a thought..... but I definatly second this suggestion.

I actually made a website with this intention in mind already! It "went live" a couple months ago, but I was the only one who posted any items, so it's empty now... but if anyone's willing to check it out, I'll post my items up again! It's meant to be sort of like craigslist (in that it's just an ad posting and the people are responsible for contacting the seller via e-mail to make a deal), but only for anime/manga/japan related stuff!

The site is anitrade.com, so check it out, read "about anitrade" to see how to post and what all of our other features are, and see if that's what you guys have been looking for.

I'll post at least a couple of my items again right now to give you all an example of what it looks like not empty^_^;

PS: I'm not trying to take anything away from JF. I just thought that this was mostly what you guys were looking for.

I think this is a very good ideia, there are many products I would like to buy but where I live there aren't many stores that sell anime/manga products.
I say go for it! :vsign:

MissMisa 04-27-2008 08:17 AM

I'd love to do this! I have quite a few gothic clothes that don't fit me anymore that someone might appreciate, as well as video games and other things like that.

ashurie 04-27-2008 12:29 PM

Yeah like the idea too.
I have a pair of TRIPP bondage pants that don't fit D: I would like to sell them

Forbidden 06-18-2008 06:29 AM

I am glad I read down the list, I was about to post something similar but don't forget clothes! Or anything from Japan. That would be wicked cool

filiadragongurl 06-23-2008 02:38 PM

I'd be happy to affiliate my aniTrade site with JF or something so that it can be integrated into the JF community and the people running everything here don't have to do the work. I'm not sure if that works with how things are run here, but I thought I'd offer.

PS: My site is being used by more than just myself now plus we've taken care of a spamming issue we were having before, so it's pretty stable and clean now.

wow, what the hell are they?

xsakurahanax 06-27-2008 11:23 AM

Oh! <3 Good idea! <3 I have heaps of clothes that seemed to have shrunk in the wash. xD

l0llipopanda 07-01-2008 02:09 AM

This is an AWESOME idea!
Let's do it ^^

KikiBunny23 07-01-2008 02:20 AM

Sounds like a cool idea....I can't get a lot of Japanese stuff not even at Redstone [military base] so it would be cool if this happened. My mom said I'm allowed to use her P.O. Box so people don't stlak me....plus our mail gets mixed with our neighbors a lot

l0llipopanda 07-01-2008 02:55 AM

This shouldn't be too hard to figure out. I guess we could do it through eBay or something.

One person could post pics up of stuff they want to sell or trade for, thern you another person could tell you if they wanna buy them or trade for something of theirs.

^^

Sarge1221 09-14-2008 04:23 PM

This sounds like a awsome idea I hope the site can make something like this work. I know i would defentely buy stuff since my area doesn't sell much of anything foreign along the lines of trinkets and stuff.
