お寺と神社が面白そうですから、そこにいきました。
otera to jinja ga omosirosou desukara, soko ni iki masita.
The "sou" already has a meaning of looked/sounded, so "mieru" is not nessary.
And you could use the " soko" to instead of repeating "jinja and otera", that's mean "there".
