The first consonant of the second noun in compound nouns usually gets voiced. By that I mean k turrning into g, s turning into z, etc. a good example would be "kaiten zushi" (mening conveyer belt sushi). we never say "kaiten sushi" sorry, it was off the topic, but i mentioned it since you are saying that you want to learn Japanese
