As someone who has taught Japanese history (and still teaches it and other related topics,), I just wanted to say that people don't have to be experts to comment on Japanese history, or any history for that matter. Members could discuss their favorite time periods/historical figures, and help each other out if someone is unclear about a certain topic or would like to learn more.

Suffice to say, I think having a Japanese History subforum would be an excellent idea.
