I was wondering if somebody out there would know what the following phrase means in English. However, I do not have the kanji for the phrase, so I hope that does not complicate things for anyone.

Phrase: "Ore wa…kimi wo…Ore ni wa…kimi wo mamoru shikaku nado nakatta…ore wa…kimi o…mamoru…”
