Subways and Busses are easy to use. All else fails just use taxis.
American visa gets you 90 days in japan.
Air fair around this time of year can go from 600 to 1500 dollars and in the summer around 2000.

Mostly its 2 bags 22 Kilos each or about 50 lbs or somthing. plus one carry on.
