Hi hi~
I'm a Japanese who is learning English =)

I've been trying to learn Japanese, and thought this might be a good place to meet other people who are trying to learn, too.

私は日本語を勉強しようとしています。この場所は同じように日本語を学ぼうとしている人と出会うのに良い場所ではないかと思いました。

勉強しています can be "I'm studying, I've been studying"

I thought it might be cool if we had a thread where we only wrote in Japanese so we could practice.

もし私たちが日本語だけを書くスレッドを持っていて練習できたら素敵だと思いました。

The only rule for the thread is that each post must be over 50% Japanese. Let's try to do it in kana & kanji, not romaji.

このスレッドの唯一のルールはそれぞれのポストが50％以上日本語であることです。ローマ字ではなく、かなと漢字でやってみましょう。

見ます 【みます】 = I know as "to see", but it is also "to try"?

みます is "try to do it". 見ます is "see". But when you write the Japanese sentence... your PC will change みます to 見ます. And we just leave it.
