I think when you AND YOUR PARTNER are ready. A lot of people think because they are ready their partner is as well. Consider anothers feelings with the matter to, not just your own.

Being in high school I hear a lot of stories of teens hooking up at parties and not using any type of protection. Then once I chime in about STD's or something they get this shocked look on their faces. It honestly disgusts me how unaware teens are about this type of stuff but continue being unsafe. I take that back, its not JUST teens. but still..its sad.
