This is quite a puzzler for me. Does anyone have a recipe for Shio ramen soup base? I don't mean "buy a packet of shio ramen", or "buy powdered shio soup base", I mean the real nitty-gritty level.

As far as I can figure it involves chicken stock, dashi stock, and salt, but without getting through a lot of bonito flakes to get the balance right I was hoping someone out there would either have an idea how to achieve this frankly amazing foodstuff, or know of a website which houses such a glorious thing (and if the site's in Japanese, point me to it anyway. Nothing fuels my ability to translate foreign languages as much as the promise of food at the end of the tunnel).
