I took a package.
From Toronto to Narita and 2 weeks at the Sunroute Hotel Shijuku was $2085 USD.
However I haven't seen a ticket for less then $1350, and it didn't matter when you booked, early, medium and last minute the price never changed.
I booked through travelocity.com and everything was/is perfect.
