Post offices in the Minato-ku area - 09-15-2010, 04:49 PM

The last time I went to Tokyo, I was bombarded with requests to send postcards to people stateside. It was not a hard request to fulfill since I was staying at the Keio Plaza in Shinjuku and there's a post office about 3 blocks away in the direction of the station.

This time around, I will be at the Shinagawa Prince and I am not familiar with the area. I have a few questions hopefully some of you can answer for me:

1) Is there a flat rate for postcards to the states, and if so, what is the rate?

2) Is it possible to buy stamps in places other than a post office? And if so, what kind of places sell them?

3) if I need to go to a post office, where is one in Minato-ku or close to the Shinagawa Station area?

I figure that if I can buy the stamps somewhere, I can always find a mail box to mail them. I know they are red with a white "T" with another line over it. That was I can just do it whenever and not have to make a trip just for that.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
