Hello, this is a message for Mr. XXX

Regarding the error on YYY, I have a contact on the website who may be able to correct the error. Could you please provide me with Mr. XXX's contact email for more discussion?

"I have a contact on the website"
I'm confused. What does this mean? When I read it, I think it means you know someone who designed the website. But your last sentence asks for the person's email, so that makes me think you don't know them.

I must just not understand what "I have a contact on the website" means. Please clarify.
