I was travelling, so I just saw you answered.
I was almost sure that this 自分 referred to A, but I didn't get find a nexus with following phrase - "基本的な芝居が出来ていることがまず第一ですので、 の (sono) 芝居 が 出来ていれば演出家はOKしてくれます。"
I was doubting myself because I thought this "OK" could be the permission of the enshutsuka so that A could come back to his house just after play his performance.
