there are thousands of sites listing them, and they're all incomplete lol
what's worse is that some of them are lacking some definitions based on where the object is placed
Hi again James, very useful. It is a case of knowing what is Literal and what is not. Isn't it?

such as "I am running very fast and hope I shall win." Literally running physically.

I am running out of money-- meaning I am short of money. I have run out of money. I have spent too much of my money.

The English language is strange when one tries to analyse it don't you think? Or is it the same with all languages

We often say:" I bumped into an old friend the other day": We don't mean literally that we physically bumped into them but met them unexpectedly.
