Wow, being as it`s going to be out on DVD very soon in Japan I was under the assumption that they`d already shown it in the US/elsewhere. At least they`re beating the blu-ray release in December...

Wrong!! It's coming out in August sometime, around the same time as the US...

you should give it a shot. Big budget movies like this usually hire professional actors/ voice actors, unlike many anime series on the TV they can turn out quite good.
