School anime clubs - 10-17-2009, 04:40 AM

Does anyone participate in school club meetings for anime?
There's one at the college I go and these are the anime's we've seen recently:

Sumomomo momomo
Ghost Stories
X'amd
Toradora
GurnLagen

I thought Sumomomo momomo, and Ghost Stories have been funny in a weird way haha.

X'amd was a little confusing

Toradora and GurnLagen have been cool so far.

I co-founded the anime club at my old high school... but, seeing as there were only 200 people in the upper-school and only 5 of which showed a hint of interest in anime, we ended up disbanding by the end of the year.

Wow really?
Too bad it didn't work out so well.

Usually about 20-40 people show up for the club meetings here.
It's good to know many people appreciate it.

There isn't one in my college.. It's sad too because we have such a big college with over a thousand students.. Oh well. You're lucky to have one! I don't even get the chance to talk face to face with many anime 'lovers'.

There is one at my school but I havent joined yet since I don't live in the same city so it would be troublesome to participate in all the club events. I plan on joining in a few months tho since I'm gonna live in that city on my own and then I can go to all club activities yeey
I also heard it's pretty big since it's a club for all students of that city and there are around 4000 students there.

That sounds like so much fun! There isn't one at my school sadly And as far as I know only two other people like manga & anime besides me. Most think I'm pretty weird haha, but they have no idea what they're talking about. Anyway I don't think our school is ready for something like that yet. I'd probably be the only member sadly

Don't worry you're just as sane as I am ~ Luna Lovegood

I'm not weird. You are all just too normal.

Sadly my school can't have a club without teacher approval. Thus, my school does not have an anime club. But my local library was a good place to meet with anime fans.
