Afro Samurai was pretty violent. I just finished watching Baccano! and that was violent as well

I agree with both of these statements. Elfen Lied was great, bloody and fantastic. It seems to me though that Higurashi is more violent I loved every minute of it though. I've seen Ni but I haven't watched the other two series yet. And I'd like to ask how Berserk managed to escape this list.

I don't know if this is the most violent but Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni is very explicit and kind of disturbing to watch sometimes.

Define Anime violence!

Is it blood from mortals or lube from mecha!
Is is a few people getting owned or a whole planet getting owned?
What is your idea of violence? For some is is seeing a pokemon get beaten, for others it is seeing a good old blood on the wall scene...
