Unhappy HELP!!!Comics disappear from Japan! - 03-22-2010, 12:43 PM

Comics of Japan may be eradicated by the Tokyo youth affairs and public safety!!

If the "nonexistent youth regulating" method for having defined it is added to the ordinance of Tokyo, almost all comics and animation will be regulated.

Tokyo is a place with most value of production of the publishing business in Japan. If publication of comics is forbidden in Tokyo, sale of the comics in negligent Japan may stop the world.

It has deliberations on March 30.
Please help comics of Japan!
Comics are Japanese culture!
Those who consider that such a thing regulates law to the character of comics are wrong!
The freedom of expression will be taken!

Please ask Tokyo youth affairs and public safety for details.

The reality of this is about pornography.
Eliminate comics? Don`t be silly.

It`s about preventing pornographic comics in which characters are underage by both image and setting. Eliminating things child pornography "art". Up until now "virtual" images and "art" were not subject to child pornography laws. Now it will be.

Fighting to keep "kindergarten rape" comics around is a little bit different than fighting for "free speech".

If anyone is trying to find me… Tamyuun on Instagram is probably the easiest.

That was back when the law was over both appearance, setting, and "attitude". For example, a book could be prevented from being published for being judged as a bad influence, even without pornography. For pretty obvious reasons a LOT of places were against that sort of flat out censorship.

But this time around, appearance alone isn`t enough to get something banned - just because the artist`s style looks underage isn`t enough to get them stopped. There has to be proof that not only do the characters look young, but that it is intent and not just style.

Ah, I see. I've heard about the new proposed laws regarding said genre of manga, but it's useful to hear you explain it. I can understand the point a lot clearer now, most sites that mention it tend to have a bias 'censorship' slant, but from what you've described the law seems quite reasonable. I do wonder how the law would take effect if it went through. Would people who already own manga from before the law existed be punished when the law came into effect for owning the manga? Or would it just apply to manga/anime that comes into existence afterward? Lol, sorry, I'm just curious and most of these sites are in Japenese, and my skills in reading Japanese are very minor.

Owning the manga would be allowed.Sales and lending to the youth would be prohibited. To the adult, not prohibited. The council specifies manga/anime beforehand. No book could be prevented from being published by the law.

Btw,Robinmask is the best. To be honest, that's all I want to say in this post.

The information is "In Tokyo, a Crackdown on Sexual Images of Minors" in The New York Times.

They say that it for defend the child from the sex crime, but it's not true.
They only detest comic artists and animator.
The ordinance is job discrimination.

This year, famous cartoon publishers doesn't exhibit to the Tokyo anime fare 2011.

I do not say it is good for children that reading the cartoon with Sexual description.
However, this ordinance is too extreme.
It becomes impossible for comic artists to write everything in the fear of this ordinance the way things are going. It leads to the decline of the cartoon of Japan.

The head of great who proposes such an ordinance it is too hard. It thinks all cartoons to be evil. It is thought that reading the cartoon makes the person not good. As for the cartoon, if the ordinance that such guys decided remains as it is, they are surely made to exterminate it. Tokyo governor is craxy that repeats the problem remark "Women can't deliver are not worth for alive" etc.
