Reverse psychology, "dear Watson", reverse psychology.
"Manganese? Is that manga language?" - lol?

that's just...i don't even know what to make out of it - your question.
sounds like you really are afraid of, well, most of the things.
so what if you like it? and are "addicted" to ?
i am watching ~30 shows (anime, tv shows) a week at least.
i think i caught up to bleach from 0 to ~217 episode in 3 weeks. 70 episodes a week. same with naruto. so what? i still went to school, met my friends.
when it came to english exams i was best in my school (among top in whole country) thou i didn't attend 60% of english classes - i had gained great amount out of simply watching mythbusters, big bang theory, HIMYM etc...

so. i think you should know these all important character building words - grow some balls and do what you want.

No wonder the anime club at my school had such a small meeting turn out this weekend!! Otakus are very fragile ya' know

My Life Sucks- The kids I babysit have drooled, ripped or drawn on all of the cards and put the cars with the little people in the microwave!

I have no Friends- The cats have scratched and destroyed all of the DVDs!

I always owe someone- In fact I put two os in it!

I always ruin my clothes with Bleach!- The show is so dom suspensful I spill my grape soda on them!

But . . .I'll live.

No worries. I think i answered a totally different question to everyone else though :/. To me the real question is more like "Is it worth watching anime, or will I just be wasting my time, learning-wise." I think the answer is yes, if that's all you're doing. It's like saying "I made bread today", having spent 6 hours goggling through a bakery window. You gotta get your hands in.
