The animation - 07-14-2007, 04:30 AM

I was wondering exactly what kind of animation they use for they're anime. I notice that anime moves very well yet kinda choppy in a way. I don't know how to explain it that good but. I know that we use different kinds of animation for our cartoons.

For example: Computer animation(fosters home)
traditional animation(looney toons) and
CGI (recent disney movies)

Anime has a kind of unique animation.

As far as I can tell, they use anything, depending on what studio produces it. Nowadays there's a lot of computer animation, mixed in with CGI. Naruto is apparently done on computer whereas DBZ was done with old fashioned cell animation. If you notice, the choppiness goes away in Anime movies, cos they spend more money on it

Did u know that studio ghibli next anime movie (ponyo on a cliff) will be done in a traditional way (water colors), they will not use computers at all. I am really exited to see this movie , it will be out in 2008. It will be different than other ghibli movies that are edited on computers like Spirited away and Howl's moving castle.

But the characters look different in some episodes as if they had been drawn by different people. Remember Sasuke when he's about to fight Neji? His hair looks longer than usual and then again after some episodes his hair's back to normal. Did nobody else notice ??

Was it Gaara then? Yeah, Naruto was the one fighting Neji. I watched that too long ago, good old time *wipes a tear* lol

Yeah, they use just about anything. Miyazaki, for example, is going back to traditional watercolors for Ponyo on a Cliff, his next movie

I wonder if that movie will look more like somthing drawn on the computer (even though its not) or more like a moving painting. If it looked like that it would be really cool.
