What Attracted you to Manga

Well for me it was cause the storylines are very fairytaleish and i loved fairytales when i was younger so thats what spurred my intrest in Manga and i still love manga today!!! so what attracted everyone else to Manga?

Can't say I am either. The only ones I've read were yaoi.

The fact it's a full story that was purly pictures~ and 'cool' black/white art (^^)

Well when I was younger I used to watch Pokemon, Dragon Ball Z, and Sailor Moon, but I didnt know they were anime, or what that was, I just thought they were cartoons with better art. Then I stoppted watching after that. Few years latter one of my freinds, has an Inuyasha book, and I look through it and im like "COOL BLOOD!" So I bought the first inuyasha book and I loved it. So I continued to colect the rest of the sereise. I didnt think of buying anymore manga after that until somone recomended Uzumaki, I read it and thought it was the most original thing I had ever read. After reading two spectacular manga sereise I decided that manga must be good, so I continued trying to read as much manga as possible.

me loves the storylines and exitement that mangas have...they are more complete an offer more details, and opinions from the autor...they r just so cool!!!

I haven't watched anime in a while. But I'll second the storyline thing. Animated shows from America don't exactly have very deep storylines.

The second reason is the artwork. Very detailed and very aesthetically pleasing.

I really don't understand why it took American as long as we have to pick up on how good it is to put a storyline and decent artwork in a cartoon...

I agree with you the art in Manga is very beautiful and the story lines are really deep and meeningful
