$8 for a pint of Guiness. That's the only American beer I came across there. Usually they sell Japanese beer (Asahi, Kirin, Sapporo, Suntory). I kind of liked Asahi, all my friends drank Kirin though.

Edit: On the whole I didn't drink beer a lot in Japan. I stuck to nihonshuu and shōchū (Awamori in particular).

I don't drink much, since I'm still underaged, I had my first drink on New year 2007, at the age of 14, and it was a bit of champagne, just for the laughs of it. This week I took the liberty (since it was I went to a Music fest and though: What the ai!) of trying beer, a bit of Vodka and a thing called "Caipirão" (it's a mixture between Licor Beirão and Caipirinha, it was actually good), I didn't much since it was pretty expensive (2 euros for 33cl, what a rip!) but I didn't what was the big deal with Beer, it tasted like vomite to me, the Vodka was ok and Caipirão was a little sweet which made it taste better.

Why do I have a feeling that smoking weed is bad as well . . .

My motto is to not drink or smoke to stay safe.

manganimefan227, I think you should change your motto a bit, since if one drinks/smokes from time to time it isn't armful but if one drinks/smokes constantly that's dangerous behaver, Drink/Smoke with moderation.

I love the logic that you people who talk about drinking in moderation bring to the table. You don't realise that the reason why alcohol or drug use is prohibited in many cultures and religions is because the "moderation" aspect of it doesn't apply to everyone and it can easily get out of control.

I was taught that smoking just one cigarett can be VERY harmful.
