lol my friend had that problem when i brought her to mexico for the summer
she learned a little bit of spanish but couldnt roll her R's.

No, I can do it both. Like for Italian and Spanish words I can do the front
R roll, with German I use that back.

Just when I speak German I can't use the front R, it's too weird for me.

I skillfully blend a knowledge of many languages with my own innate airheadedness to speak what is commonly referred to as "gibberish". Took me five goes to answer a lady in Berlin in the right language when she asked if I'd like fries with that

You'd think "Ja" isn't that hard...

On the other hand it proves handy for helping lost tourists in London, because most Europeans can also communicate in Euro-gibberish (a mongrel tongue of English, French, German and Italian - keep switching languages until you're understood).

Languages I know pretty well: German, Spanish
Languages I; want to speak/know a little: Japanese, Chinese, French

I can speak (not fluently, but still, I know a little bit of) Japanese, Spanish, Thai, Korean, and a couple words in an Indian language.
