Wanted: Recommendations for movies.

Here are some details;
  • I'm a man that can't watch horror movies, due to the reason I DO get scared.
  • I don't like gorey films too much. Stuff like Saw and the such, no thanks. They bore me.
  • I enjoy comedies.
  • I enjoy action.
  • I enjoy adventure.
  • I sometimes enjoy romances.
  • I love martial arts films.
  • I love asian films alot too.
  • I love fantasy.
  • I don't mind thrillers.
  • Chic-fliks bore me.
  • Love some Mafia films

It can be a mix of any of the genres I like.

Recommend away! ;)

Not sure if this is a perfect recommendation and I'm sure you've seen it, but

Scarface

was the first that came to mind ^_^
not sure if that's too gorey either.

EDIT:

The Shining

was a good mind-thriller movie...

Sheesh, all I have are old movies.

The invisible is a recent one that is quite good :)

its not horror but there is one death scene, also it is a book

I bet you have seen all the lord of the rings, but those are super good !

I can stand most gore. But when it's taken to the extremes I just find it tacky.

Scarface, I haven't watched that yet. I'll check it out.

Mama Mia
Dark Knight
Right to Kill

If you haven't seen JUNO

It is comedy, and some drama at the same time, it isn't really a chick flick, some male humor grossed me out 0.0

the book ended exactly opposite of the movie, so its not really the same, they changed the movie so much nothing but the concept stayed the same,

I read the book before the movie and liked the movies plot better
