No. Then there wouldn't be anyone to blame.

it's a Society problem in Japan which is very similar here in Hong Kong. People expect too much from you in school, grades, work, achievements & if you don't make the cut is seems that your such a looooooser! No wonder even grade schoolers here commit suicide.

Once i was in McDonald's & it was past 10PM & this mum was scolding this little 8 yr. old with all the books & notes on the table. sheeeessssh

What about the individual who actually committed the crime?

Those people are gone, their dead... but the ones who loved them.
Ugh.

Tokyo has alotttt of people in it.
Regardless of the Japanese's peaceful culture I'm not surprised the least bit.
There is always bound to be a few bad eggs.

This type of thing seems to be happening more frequently in Japan nowadays.

My girlfriend and I went shopping for a new PC on Sunday. The Sofmap store in front of which the stabbings took place is usually where I go for things like PC accessories, camera equipment, and other electronics. But my gf and I wanted an HP, and the only place in Tokyo that sells HP at the moment is Big Camera, near Tokyo station.

We didn't hear about the stabbings until my gf's mother called and asked if we had gone to Akihabara. She was relieved to find out that we were in Toyosu (where we went shopping for curtains after ordering the pc), and then she told us about what happened. We were able to watch the news on our cellphones (cell phones here have 1seg, or tv tuners built into them).

This incident kinda shows the dark side of Japan.

In Japan, you gotta stay on the right path to succeed.

Once you fail an exam or two, you life takes a sudden downfall and this is probably what happened to him.

Today's society doesn't allow people the second chance and once you fail, that's it bad luck.

I think the govt needs to invest more in community colleges and ease the transfer process so everyone has a second chance.

I guess recent reports revealed that he never had a g/f in his life and he was getting frustrated.

He's also mentioning how his parents gave up on him and started to invest their energy into his younger brother over him.

What a cry baby.

Like he was the first person who went through this kind of upbringing.

He just needed to get laid and enjoy his life a little bit more.

Can you imagine being stubbed because someone was desperate for sex?

Give me a break.

I really hope those who died rest in peace cos if I were them, I surely can't!!

If the media is going to blame entertainment then perhaps they should look at themselves as well.
They posted real bloody pictures of dying and injured.
Someone can be just as " influenced" by the news as they can by a anime/manga/movie or t.v show.
