Japanese Folklore & Supernatural - 06-23-2009, 12:38 AM

Does anyone know of a good website with information on Japanese folklore and the supernatural? I've heard of Oni, Kappa, Zashiki-Warashi and Tengu, but haven't found much interesting information on them. A website with stories would be nice, too.

Just interested in the history of said demons and such.

I thought they were the same thing...but Oni are ogre type demons and Yokai describes a vast section of spirits and demons?

Yeah. I've always thought of Yokai as smaller spirits (kitsune and such) and Oni as ogre type demons that have a darker spirit. And the Tengu, I believe eats small Yokai and Oni. But that's just my opinion.
