Yes, I was kidding, hence the smiley >>

But yeah, since I know people who would pretty much kill to own an iPhone, the fact that I have one that I don't use makes me cool, in an ironic kind of way

Exactly. That's the sadness of it all. People are becoming too attached to all sorts of gadgets.

Cooly: I was kidding yet again, you're very important to all of us here as well hun

times sure are changing.

Well, let's just agree to disagree on the relative luxuries phones splay on us. But it's not an overstatement to say phones are still being used for their initial intended purpose: communication. The difference is in the modes communication takes place in.

I was playing along, dear Suki. Formalities aren't you! Lol. xD

There's no such thing as happy endings, for when you find true love, happiness is everlasting.

My main use of my cell phone is work related... I get a lot of calls from work, and make a lot of calls to work, lol... This phone is also my main internet access, as my laptop is broken and I don't currently have the money to get it fixed or replaced at the moment... I do a little texting... Not as much as I used to a couple years ago...

Potentially, yes... I probably would be able to, but that would leave me with no reliable way to get in contact with work (or them in contact with me), as our landline phone goes out more than it works in our area... It's amazing we can hold cell signal as it is... So, as much of a bother as my cell bill is, it is a small price to pay to ensure that I receive the phone calls I need for my job.

One thing I am waiting for is January, so I can dump this retarded 'smart' phone and get something not so pricey... Looking to save about $30 on the monthly bill, lol...

I use my phone to keep in contact with my friends, family, work, driver's ed teacher etc. It's pretty necessary. I don't really use it for FB or anything, but it will occasionally happen that I log on from it - if I'm essentially bored. lol

I use my phone:

to watch tv (to practice Japanese)
as a train pass
for email
as an mp3 player
to read the news
to check lesson reservations
to check my work schedule
as a camera
as a video camera
to call people
to video call people
as an alarm clock
for birthday reminders
to play games

my phone bill is very high...
