Yeah, I think it looks fine. (Reffering to pic.)

I knew a guy who had like maybe 2 centimeter long nails, and it was kinda weird, but in this case, you have nothing to worry about. XD
I don't think it looks gross, but any longer, and I would start to wonder.

As far as taking care of them. Just make sure they aren't too jagged. If the nail starts to shread, just file it down a little so it doesn't scratch anyone. Anything else, I wouldn't worry about. ('Cept when washing your hands, make sure: 1. That your nails are clean, otherwise it looks gross, and 2. that no soap gets stuck under them, then it feels weird and looks kinda strange, lol)

Nothin' else I would really recommend for a guy...Hope it helps! XD

P.S. I have like 1 inch long nails, so, I have experience...XD lol

As long as they`re not extremely long, are cut cleanly and roundly, and are not painted or anything like that - I wouldn`t think of any guy with long fingernails as feminine. "Well groomed" is more likely the reaction I`d have.
Basically this.

In perfect honesty, Im quite partial to having my nails a tad lengthier than most blokes would deem appropriate. Though, due to my work, I'm very restricted on the lengths of my nails. Obviously, long nails are unsanitary in the kitchen, but after a certain length, I find myself cutting them, much more frequently than I would fancy, with my knife.

Woe is me for the nature of my profession. >.<

So to maintain the topic of this conversation, I must concur with the majority opinion. For men, longer nails can be suitable, provided they are groomed properly.

Although, so far that I understand, the whole idea of what's effeminate and what men are and are not allowed to do is absurd. Makes one figure most males to be savage and untidy beasts with no regard to proper grooming nor sanitation.

I don't think it necessarily looks feminine, although femininity in men isn't a bad thing.
