Most would require cable or satellite television. Antenna TV doesn't exist in the US anymore. Analog broadcasts are no longer, so only digital TVs exist. TVs made a few years ago are just bricks without a digital conversion box.

Only NPB broadcasts would be free.

I've got Sky Digital satellite TV, & get NHK World. Ever since I got it, I never watch terestrial TV any more. It's a good idea to remove terestrial channels

what kind of stereotype is that? There are funny people all over the world, its not like funny people just are not born in English.
