I plead Insanity - 02-28-2011, 09:04 PM

Have you ever felt like you were going insane?
I've had times were I hope for insanity.
I identify with characters in movies and books about insanity.
All my life I've truly thought I was insane for the thoughts I've had towards others that aren't normal.
I'm well aware of those people that think insanity is funny or cool.
But in all reality.
I have a fear of it... yet I feel at home with the thought of just complete insanity.
I guess that doesn't make much sense.
I guess I'm posting this because I want to know how you people feel it?

I think everyone has some sort of insanity in themselves. Some can control it and some cannot. And I know you are feeling fear when it's getting outa control. But it sometime is good to be insane. It works to keep your sanity by releasing your insanity. And I don't want you to feel guilty to be insane, cuz this world already has been insane.

The thing to keep in mind here is when insanity becomes dangerous. It could cause you to do, well, insane things. Hurting yourself or others being an example. Feeling insane? Just please don't do anything you might regret. Take time to think rationally.

It is said that most people who are truly insane have no inkling of the fact whatsoever. If that is true, then you are at least quite sane when you are the most fearful of being otherwise.

However, I have known one or two people who correctly sensed that they were losing their grip on reality. My recommendation is to talk to a psychiatrist, if only to allay your fears.

As for myself, I can think of 3 instances when my grip on reality slipped, or came extremely close. The first was when I actually considered suicide over a lover - reality came back like a nuclear blast later that day - thank you DOrothy Parker. The second was when someone succeed in pushing me past my breaking point after over a year of working real hard at it. (He was the crazy one) And the resulting physical altercation brought me back into working order instantly.

Then there was my first marriage, which I jokingly refer to as my year of temporary insanity. Its the only rational explanation anyone can come up with for my even being in the idiot's company for more than 5 minutes, much less marrying him.

Only an open mind and open heart can be filled with life.

The place I'm in now I could go insane. I think I could do with some anger management.

It's Dir En Grey that releases my insanity. All the other times, I'd say it was normality that is not normal in Britain.... lol

I'm a Cafe-kko, Nyappy in the World. But GazeRock is not dead. 「Sixth Gun」です

How do you know if your thoughts are not normal when you cannot read the thoughts of others?

I promise you, you are quite sane, and can identify with many of the sane people around you thought-wise.

Too many people spend money they haven't earned, to buy things they don't want, to impress people they don't like.
