If I had been president, my efforts woulda helped SECURE Mubarak, who was an ALLY. Sure they can try to figure out something in the mean time election wise. But as it is now, it's going to be a damn disaster in 12 months.

That's bullsh*t.

And "you" didn't dump him. The Egyptian people did. "You" just jumped on the bandwagon.
Kaddafi must stop all clashes with opposition and call to fight common enemy of Libya. By all possible means.

I can hardly believe I am saying this but... this is a war that needs to be fought. Gaddafi has to be put down, and he's made it obvious he won't settle for shit, so they have to strike back before he takes it further, which he's claimed he intends to do. Threatening the world saying he's gonna make it a long war and the allies will regret rising up against him, what the fuck? I hope it doesn't take weeks of bombing for him to back off.

That's true. But if along the way you can knock down a dictator or two then bingo.

everything is relative and contradictory ~

They have all right fo fight back by all possible means. For instance, well-prepared groups of muslims may explode a bunch of bombs somewhere in Spain or Italy.

I don't know about Italy but in Spain there are no Islamic organizations supporting the bastard. Muslims are no big thing around here, and if there were I can tell you they'd be more concerned about getting a job than blowing stuff up for the sake of some fuckhead who's only just recently gotten some media attention.

The World Socialist Web Site categorically opposes any military intervention in Libya. The drive toward war, which was given the green light by the UN Security Council on Thursday, has nothing to do with the humanitarian pretexts offered up by the major powers. Rather, it represents the violent imperialist subjugation of a former colony.

The bombing of Libya by French, British and American planes will not protect human life, but will transform the country into a battlefield with thousands of innocent victims. This is an imperialist war. Libya is an oppressed, former colonial country. The WSWS rejects fundamentally and in all circumstances military attacks by imperialist powers on such countries.

Moreover, this war will take place without any democratic legitimacy. There is not the slightest indication that it is supported by the populations of the countries involved. Once again, huge sums are being spent on a war even as the same governments declare there is no money for social programs.

Rest of article

All those "allied efforts" of the US and NATO to bring democracy and peace to other nations are really nothing short than rude and plain aggression. Frankly. We saw a similar story in Iraq already.
Finally they will turn poor country into greater-scale chaos and steal their natural sources.
wow .. her i agree with you ... a big mistake, we have war in europe now ... that was a mistake .. and i hope germany will go out of this really ... they must solve their problems inside the country ... but oil-oil-oil .. always the same, if there is business the americans are there and if not, they are not seen ... no we have war ... bullshit ... big mistake ... and the french are completely crazy to do this ... little napoleon ...

In Italy the possibility of a terroristic attack is highly possible because the immigrants can enter without difficult. Gheddafi it's a crazy man, really crazy. I mean, the population make his choice and he had the possibilities to Leave Lybia but he decided to kill. I can't understand how Gheddafi kills his own population without regrets... And I can't understand why that idiot of our president Berlusconi kissed his hand when he came in Italy. Kick in the face, this is what Gheddafi deserve. I live in Sud Italy and I heard the Jet-Fighter. Yesterday i take this photo at 2:00 am:

You can see the jet fighter's smoke in the air.
I hope this "war" end quickly because we have an Economy Crisis to face and a War it's useless right now.

sorry i don't know why we in uk are there. why can't we leave these countries to sort themselves out.

ggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

uk is hard up as it is but still happy to join in these games.

isn't it time we allowed other countries to sort themselves out. it all seems dreadful interference and waste to me. i still think we should not have invaded afghanistan. how many more will suffer now
