Kudo here... Is anyone still around?

Seems as though Shinji and a few others (myself included) vanished and the forums got cluttered.
Mods seem to be gone too, but with reason. I've been reading a ton of threads about what's been going on.

Is anyone here still? I would like to re-project this forum.
I remember the glory days, it would be nice to bring some of them back.

It's a shame now that the spam has stopped, no one has come back. I check in from time to time, but there have only been ten posts in the last 35 days.

This was a very interesting and informative place for a long time, hopefully it will recover.

I got so fed up with the spam - and the administrators refusal to give moderators more powers, to get involved with the site, or stop the spam

Sad thing is that even that site has a distinct lack of activity, despite containing all the regular members and some lovely/wonderful people, so I came back here to see what was happening . . .

I'm extremely relieved to see that the spam is gone, but disappointed that there is no activity here, either. It feels like there is nowhere to go to discuss about Japan or to socialise online about similar topics.

Yes, it is a shame.

I'm trying to get in contact with Shinji to work something out with the forum.
Give it a overhaul and re-open it so to speak.
Even though there aren't that many people posting, there is still an abundance of non-bot views every day. Perhaps there just needs to be some more content for people to reply to.

Unfortunately, the new forum suffers from the fatal flaw of having a poor domain name. This forum has the perfect name, and draws a lot of visitors, but the lack of activity is discouraging anyone from registering and posting.

A few new threads about interesting subjects might help get things moving.

Japanforum will be reopened soon and we I'm pretty sure that things would be better now and what happened before will never happen again.

I never thought this forum would be cleaned up.
I thought it was going to be covered in filth forever.
Not sure what made me check the forum today, but I'm glad I did.
It brings back so many memories....getting all nostalgic.

I'm not a part of this forum before, I'm just here to clean up the mess and maintain the forum as it is recovering.

But as a forumer, I'm honestly very emotional reading the posts here during the days when the bots are spamming seeing how the regular forumers here get disappointed by the lack of action to counter those spams. It's like getting your home destroyed knowing you can't do anything but watch. Sad.

This page has been already re-indexed by google and is almost on the top spot of japan forum search so I guess it's never too late for us to build this community again.

I am glad that there is an attempt at bringing the forum back to life, so I do thank you for your work in helping to clean up the mess. I've noticed that there is still a lot of spam in the forums though, even though it's not showing up on the front page anymore, so I wondered if that would be deleted soon too? Just to make the forums easier to scroll through and navigate really.

Yes, I will clean this entirely and I surely left some spot because I am the only one who's doing it. I take care of those during my free time.
