Well, it doesn't make much of a difference. I also got bad looks for saying gotten all the time during my oral exam xD Then the examinator said I wouldn't be given a highest mark for showing off my American slang-influenced vocabulary xDDDDDDDD I was like wtf. So yeah, lucky Japanese...
