camping in japan ???

I am from europe muving to japan next month
I like camping
hope to continue doing it in japan
in europe we have plenty of organised camping sites
with minimarket,shower,restaurand,pool etc.
how about japan?
can I find things like this?

yes I am talking about camping having all this

we have too many any kind,
and the most have everything insite

I don't think most Americans would define that as "camping", but more like going to a resort.

Anyways, I have been camping in Japan. I believe the campsite we stayed at was sponsored by WMCA. It had firepits, bathrooms and running water, but no pools or staff.

iockansai group - ( iockansai.com ) has a sister group in tokyo. they usually have camping expedition. it might be good , if you can get in touch with them to get familiarization first. members are mostly composed of foreigners and japanese so you don't have any problem with the language
