Playing guitar in Tokyo.. - 12-11-2008, 06:20 PM

Hello all, i have a friend who wants to go to Japan to play guitar. He mainly wants to know how to plug in his electric guitar in a park in Tokyo, like this youtube video.

YouTube - Japanese indie band, WORD live in Yoyogi Park

Any other information about playing guitar in Tokyo would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

I would think that's the only way they could possibly play in the middle of a park. How much are mini generators anyway?

you can get small battery powered amps otherwise you need a generator.

what difference does it make as to what country the park is in? this hardly seems like a question for a japanese forum - best for a music/guitar specialist.

Sadly, this thread is much more Japan-related than most threads.

This is because my friend wants to go to Japan to do it, for example in England we have to get a license which is about £130 and our own equipment.
