Lightbulb Your best Japan Photo - 02-07-2009, 07:30 AM

This thread is for people who have been to Japan. Post your favorite picture! (That you've taken)

You don't have to be a photographer or anything- even if its purikura!

I like this picture I took- but I'm embarrassed to say I don't remember where it was taken (I did a ton of Temple-hopping)... If anyone recognizes it let me know!

And this was taken while walking around Kinkakuji

Atomic bomb dome, Hiroshima, Japan, August 19, 2007
This version is slightly edited. The lightning distorted the focus and color of the A-Bomb dome so I layered it with a picture taken a few seconds later.

Choosing 1 picture is way too hard for me. I took hundreds and hundreds while on my trip. So heres a few of my favorites ones.

Hey Raisthlan,

Is the last picture on the 4th post of the Okunoin Temple graveyard in Koyasan (Mount Koya)?

I've been looking for places to go while in Japan and Koyasan was on my list of intersting places. Could you let me know if you enjoyed the stay and if you overnighted in a temple. Any recommendations if so.

I'm sorry to derail the picture post into a discussion. I'll have to look into finding how to PM on the boards.

Fushimi Inari Shirine

Tokyo Tower

Tokyo Anime Fair last year

Reptiles have silly grins
Dark eyes--shiny teeth--some have fins
Samurai they smile never
Serious--pretty swords--very clever
