Question What to do on an extra day - 04-01-2009, 03:53 PM

I'm going to be dropping off my girlfriend on her cruise ship on the 10th of April at about 7 at night in Yokohama, but I won't be leaving for home until 10 am on Sunday the 12th from Narita. I don't have any plans in between and can't decide what to do. Any suggestions? I'll have a valid JR rail pass for the whole time. We will have been to Tokyo, Kobe, Kyoto and Yokohama.

Thanks!

I agree. Eat at a nice restaurant, and then hit up the onsen.

It will give you a peaceful vacation-from-vacation to gather your thoughts.

Hot spring. Hakone is probably the closes hot spring resort town to Yokohama, hence my suggestion. Atami is a bit out of the way, but its definitely NICE... so is Nikko...
