Going on vacation in Japan - 06-25-2009, 07:18 AM

Hi there JF!

I want to go to japan with a friend of mine. We won't be going this year since we simply don't have to money for it!
So my question is: Where should we go? Which airport is good? And what is the avarage heat in the summer? I don't really mind if it's 35°C but I think my friend does.

Are there any fun things to do at that time of the year? And most important question xD What is the minimum drinking age xD

*Edit

MMM told me to be more specific:
We want to go to some sort of anime fair, Go the the beach(me), And see some of the city and night life!

Minimum drinking age is 20.

35°C is common in much of Japan in late July and especially in August.

Dozens of threads address your other questions. I can easily tell you where I go, but I have no idea what interests you. Ask specific questions and get specific answers.

It depends on where in Japan you are, but late July and August tend to be very humid.

Let me put it this way, my friends who live in Japan travel outside of Japan in August because of it.

You can count on dripping in sweat just sitting in the shade unless you are in northern Japan...
