Post My three month travelling diary from Japan. - 01-23-2010, 04:51 PM

Hey there.
I spent three months travelling around Japan and also working on a few farms under the WWOOF scheme. I had the most amazing adventure with my brother and as this was my first back packing trip abroad, I learnt a few things too.
I wrote a diary of the whole trip which I've now typed up and have also filled it with pictures and various pieces of information that I found relevant about Japan and travelling.
I hope that people would like to read it as I would love to inspire others to have an equally amazing and fulfilling adventure too.

P.S. This diary does contain some strong language.

have you done it just for fun or was it more like a planned project?

Hey.
The diary was never intended to turn out like this. I obviously kept my diary through the whole three months, but it was only when I was typing it up when I got back, did I begin to elaborate on the daily content and then once that was complete, I started to add the extra bits at the end and had the idea for the contents pages.
I just wanted it to be fun, interesting and informative and inspire other people to have an amazing adventure like the one I had.

I hope that you both manage to have a look and enjoy it, please return with your comments as I am interested in finding out what people think of my diary.
Thanks.

Ha, yeah. Three months writing it (while travelling), five months typing up the main content and then eight months playing around adding all the extras and pictures. A year of hard work. As long as it inspires and entertains people, it will be totally worth it!!

Have bookmarked your page - 01-31-2010, 10:01 AM

I found your diary while researching our trip, wish I could print it

I plan on reading it further for site seeing ideas (my daughter liked the section on the cat 'hotel' in Tokyo)

Hey,
I've made the diary document printable now, so if it is easier to read like that, please printy a copy, or just the pages of interest. I hope that it helps with your research. At the end, there are pages of information and lists of equipment that we took if that interests you.
Nekobukuro cat house was awesome, such an odd thing to find. It was one of those 'only in Japan' places that we had to visit. I have found the wikipedia site too if you'd like to look further into it.
If I can help any more, please mail back.
