I think his point was well made.

Regardless, the best place to find a map of Narita Terminal 1 is in Narita Terminal 1.

I would like to take this moment to add in that I hate Narita's floorplan. It is probably the most confusing airport I have ever been to. Chubu (Nagoya) on the other hand is flawless.. love that place.

Why so serious, Alan?

If you lose your printout, you can get a pamphlet with a floor plan when you arrive at the airport. There are also numerous maps located in different parts of the airport. The attendants at the help desks speak English.

When deplaning, you merely need to follow the crowd, and you'll end up at the exit to the terminal. Overhead signs will tell you where the bus, taxi, and train platforms are. The only places I bother to memorize are the exec lounge and the showers (only 500 yen, and wonderful after 12 to 18 hours on a plane).
