kimono for Miyako Odori? - 03-24-2010, 04:12 PM

I don't know if I'm posting in right place, I'm sorry if it's wrong place ><;;

I had this idea, I'm going to see Miyako Odori and I thought of renting kimono and going there dressed up like this.
But then, I thought that this might not be proper. I'm a foreigner after all.
What do you think? Would it be unwise for me to wear a kimono for such ocassion?

No Problem.It is proper to wear a kimono for such occasion.Foreigner or not.Kyoto is proper place.
There are Miyako odori Tours with wearing Kimono.Many rental shops are familiar with foreigners.
But some Japanese might say to you ,"Can I take your picture?"
