Recent event and safety of Japan - 12-20-2010, 03:52 PM

Hey All

Given recent events happening in Asia, do you guys think its still safe to travel to Japan in the near future? What if you are Chinese? Do you think the recent incident with the fishing boat collision will cause you any problems when you are in Japan? What are your reason to avoid visiting Japan, or not?

I don't see why there would be any reason to concern oneself over these incidents. Most people go about their lives not really caring what goes on politically in their region. They have more mundane problems to deal with on a regular basis. Of course, if there is a demonstration, one should steer clear, but I believe those are rare and very localized. As long as you don't outwardly display any view towards the subject or paint yourself as a target, things should be fine.
