Is this Gotenba premium outlet?
If so, you can see all the brands here.
御殿場プレミアム・アウトレット|ブランド

I have been to other premium-outlet but they were always great!
They have Japanese brands clothes in reasonable price.

Is 5'9 more than 180cm?

5 feet 9 inches is approximately 175.26 centimeters. So, I don't think any of those would fit me.

This is really useful. I'm a London designer and I am extremely interested in Japanese fashion and shops in Japan that stock British designers.

Hip Hop Candy! Kawaii Jewelry, Kawaii Stationery, Kawaii Buttons, Kawaii Shirts, Handmade Candles, Handmade Kawaii Soap, Kawaii Bath and Body

It isn't actually clothing (though I think there are some shirts) and isn't actually made by a Japanese designer or made in Japan, but they are very cute Japanese-style accessories! And they ship anywhere in the world.

A miko outfit would look good on me, now that I think of it...

Any miko / shrine looks?

A Plus Size Guide on a Budget! - 10-06-2010, 10:02 AM

I was going to make a new post for this, but thought best to add it to this thread.

If you are like me, and I get the feeling a lot of Japan fans are, your body shape tends not to match that of a Japanese teenager/young 20s!

To be frank I am a UK size 16 ish,
that is in inches

42-36-42

I like visual kei inspired stuff, and I am on a budget.

Sound like you? Well I hope it helps someone anyway.

Also peoples, never try squeeze into clothes that *just* fit, give yourself a little room. Otherwise you look about 3sizes bigger and that tends to be where snide comments amount certain sizes not being able to wear certain styles come from!
Having said that, dress for your shape, don't wear belly tops if you got a beer belly and don't wear mini skirt if your thighs or bum are your largest feature!

Now on with the shops.....

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

girlsdorock

Link: girldorock items - Get great deals on Clothes, Shoes Accessories, Jewellery Watches items on eBay UK!

Size Range: up to XXL. (~Approx Max UK16/18)
I usually find about 50% of the XL or XXL size stuff is big enough to fit me, make sure you check the sizes each description gives carefully, there is a lot of variance. The odd item even runs a tiny bit larger, say UK18 at a guess.

Quality: High
Everything I have ever got from here has been really good quality for the money, they stock a lot of punkrave items (linked later on) but they are not listed as such but you can tell if you look close at the photos.

Price:Very Good
The sale is usually bargains ahoy if you can find the right size, and the normal prices are some of the cheapest I have seen for decent enough quality VK clothes.Off the top of my head T-shirts are around £25, hoodies and the like closer to £45 and coats average around £60, this includes postage, they do combine it but only a tiny little bit, like I spent £100 and got £2 off shipping.

Payment: paypal only (includes cards)

Shipping: from hong kong, 2-4weeks estimate

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

j_plushes

Only just found this shop, looks promising, they offer a wide ranges of sizes and will even custom make certain items for you. Price seems good too.

Link: j plushes items - Get great deals on Clothes, Shoes Accessories, Toys Games items on eBay UK!

Size Range: up to 4XL some custom sizes. (~Approx Max UK20)
The use of English is a little confusing, but it seems as if they can get most of what the list in stock up to a 4XL, and if you contact them they may be able to make a bigger custom size. It is written as if they make it all themselves, but the pictures look off-the-rack quality and mass manufactured.

Quality: Low-Medium?
Never ordered from them but they look to me what I would class OK quality, yet in some items look a little more rough and ready (think primark if you have one in your country!) With them being custom made, my experience is things made to measure tend to loose that professionally made touch. Also if they are making them themselves just to sell on ebay, it won't be a big budget operation!

Price: Good
Similar to girldorock in some items, a bit more in other, factoring in postage maybe £30-40 for tops £50-60 for hoodies jackets.

Payment: paypal only (includes cards)

Shipping: from hong kong, they quote 22-26days and you can pay extra for tracking.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

punkrave

my fav brand of affordable punk/VK inspired clothes.

This site is in French, but running through google translate plugin on every page makes it easily readable and only misses a few specialist clothing terms in item descriptions. Even with out you can guess around. It is poorly designed and slow though

Pretty sure this is actually an Asian Brand and I have read elsewhere it is based in Korea, however this site seems to take responsibility for the clothes line, I guess they are the official European Distributor.
I have never ordered from this site, but have some of the items on it ordered through girldorock and fanplusfriend.

Link: Punk Rave, v

Size Range: up to XL some custom sizes. (~Approx Max UK16)
See what I wrote about girldorock as they are often the same items just direct from supplier, the sizes aren't always fully explained on this site though, and they seem to have a different scale for men, so a mens L is what I would call a XL or similar. Lots of sizes and styles seem to be out of stock when you try to add to basket, and it can be a bit confusing how it lists male and female as sizes under the actual SML etc. Scroll to the bottom of description and about 30% of the time it gives you the measurements for the sizes. Msot times it just lists which of S,M,L,L Mens are available.

Quality: Good?
The punkrave items I have from elsewhere as I said before are great quality.

Price: Good
You can save on average about £10 per item than getting this brand elsewhere. So £20 for tops up to around £60 for coats, postage is done by weight and for 2 medium sizes outfits came to about £15.

Payment: paypal, credit card, bank transfer, postfinance (swiss poste office service I think)

Shipping: from Switzerland, they use DHL express. They post it within a week but don't give estimated delivery time, small print also has something scary about no refunds for items damaged in the post!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
fan plus friend

Little expensive for my taste, especially with shipping but I got my fav ever hoody from there with detachable arms and cat ears ^_^ so it has to go in the guide.

The range of VK stuff now seems almost 0, but might be good if you are into more traditional EGL type styles.

Link: Fanplusfriend Garden

Size Range: up to UK22/XXL and custom made

They do custom sizes and commissions if you are willing to wait, and the ready to order items I have seen upto size 22, but some don't go anywhere near that high, and you can't seem to search by size so happy hunting through every item you like checking the size box!

Quality:Very Good
The hoody I got from here was amazing quality and has now lasted me over 4years and is still good as new, apart from the fast I lost one of the arm warmers!
I wear it all the time and fall over drunk in it and put it through high heat washes for random stains and it lives on and on indestructible!
MY friend gets most of her EGL stuff from here and swears by it

Price: Good - Super High
The range of prices on this site is dramatic, there was a hoodie in the sale for $9 next to a dress for over $100.
I find the VK stuff I want is without shipping about $30-40 hoodies and $60+ trousers.

Payment: paypal , credit card, bank transfer, western union

Shipping: They quote 5 days International by courier service, When I ordered it seemed to take so long I had forgotten all about ordering it, at least 2weeks so take the 5days with a pinch of salt. They also charge by weight starting at around $20US

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I got a couple of things acutally in Japan,
Some in the triangle park ame-mura area of Osaka between Namba and Dotombori.

The rest in touristy areas with the odd gothic/jrock/alternative all in one shops, lots of these in Kyoto near tourist traps!

Most shops in Harajuku/Shibuya were all aimed at the tiny and rich people of this world though Even those I have later found out weren't that expensive and I wish I had gone in, such as bodyline give off an aura of if you don't already look perfect and have a wallet full of 10,000Y bills ready to spend don't even come too close to the door, let alone think of stepping inside!
Didn't help the day I went along jinguemae it was super rainy and I was wearing my crappy primark clothes I planned to ditch at the end of the holiday to make suitcase space!

I might see if I can use google street view to find the location of said shops I actually got good things in.
It wasn't as hard as I thought to find things to fit there, just had to be sensible and realise when walking in a shop to look straight for the "big" items not the ones that caught my eyes first, or I would be disappointed
