Anko - 05-09-2010, 01:22 AM

Elloz!! My daily question today is, How is Anko packaged? In a box, a bag, a jar? Andwhere can I find it in America? Grocery store or Aisan store?

Help is much appreciated!

My Life Sucks- The kids I babysit have drooled, ripped or drawn on all of the cards and put the cars with the little people in the microwave!

I have no Friends- The cats have scratched and destroyed all of the DVDs!

I always owe someone- In fact I put two os in it!

I always ruin my clothes with Bleach!- The show is so dom suspensful I spill my grape soda on them!

But . . .I'll live.

I usually just make it myself. I've never found it anywhere. Sorry.

It comes in cans and pouches and I'm sure it's available in America. I just wouldn't know where for obvious reasons.

In googling, try using "Imuraya" as it's the name of the major anko maker.

Just google a recipe lazy-bum. It's pretty easy, but a bit long-winded, so set aside a day to make it and do a big batch, and then freeze or jar anything you don't eat straight away.

You can also make white anko using white beans.

:P there's loads around, but if you can't find one that suits you, let us know. The main thing is getting hold of the aduki beans. I buy them frozen or tinned, because dried ones take forever to soak.
