Hello, I'd like to learn japanese if anyone wants to help me! I know some of the basic words, but I'm planning on going to Japan in a couple years and I was wanting to expand my knowledge....

I'm not quite sure how you expect us to help.

You need to come up with a study plan yourself before anyone can advise you.

You will need to address vocab, grammar, listening, speaking and make a decision as to whether you want to tackle Japanese characters. You also need to decide when you want to go to Japan and whether you want to take a formal course in Japanese somewhere.

The website in my sig has some tips for beginners and there are plenty of good sites/forums out there.
