Looking for Topic Suggestion for Japanese Speech Contest -
02-24-2008, 10:30 PM
Hello there, this is my first post on this forum and I thank you in advance for looking and helping!
I have been taking beginner Japanese at my university since last September, and there is a Japanese Speech Contest coming up that I wish to participate in. Anyone know of a interesting topic that a beginner could do for the speech? If it is any help, my Japanese class uses the Nakama 1 textbook and we have covered the first 10 chapters. So far my ideas include: talk about my family (私の家族), my university days (大学の時), etc. None of these seem very interesting but my limited vocabulary/skills with Japanese does not get me very far with more complicated topics/ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! Edit: I have made up my mind on "My Family" Here is a copy of my speech: http://www.ualberta.ca/~dgwang/Speech%20Contest.doc And the recording: http://www.ualberta.ca/~dgwang/Speech%20Contest.mp3 If anyone could have a listen and let me know how it is that would be great! Keep in mind this is for beginner level. |

Maybe you can compare and contrast your family with another how there the same yet different in ways. Just a suggestion.

Thanks! I think I will be sticking with "My Family", even though it is a bit boring but I have the best chances of pulling that one off lol.
And Eyobe, are you taking Japanese at U of A? If so with which sensei? |
